Join the Sons of the American Legion


All male descendants, adopted sons and stepsons of members of the American Legion, and such male descendants of veterans who served during World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, Panama, Grenada, or Desert Storm and other specific periods of conflict as defined by the Constitution of the American Legion and have since deceased.

If eligible through a LIVING VETERAN, Proof of Membership in The American Legion is REQUIRED (Copy of Legionnaire’s Card) If the Legionnaire is not a member of Post 291, Proof of Honorable Military Service is Required (DD214 or Equivalent)

If eligible through a DECEASED VETERAN, Proof of Honorable Military Service is Required (DD214 or Equivalent) along with a copy of the Death Certificate.

Once printed you will need to sign and date the form, then enclose this information with your check in the amount of $150.00 Payable to S.A.L Squadron 291. Please do not send or remit cash. This fee includes Membership Initiation Fees and Facility Access Card (Except Juniors or Dual). Upon receipt of these items and review of eligibility, you will be invited to attend the next General membership meeting, held the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm at The American Legion Post #291.
